    While the celebration of reaching the OMHA Quarter finals was still seemingly underway we found ourselves all of the sudden about to start the first game of the series. Our opponent Chatham Kent was the heavy favorite having won our league play and dominated the play-downs so far. It really wasn’t surprising when we started the game down 0-2 quickly. Then things turned, wow did they turn. The team rallied to score the next 5 unanswered and walk off with a win. Still feeling like the underdog, we entered game two of the best of 5 series where the boys left no doubt that they had taken over. Winning 4-2 and it really didn’t feel that close. Up 2 games to 0 and feeling great we headed to Chatham for the close out game.

    As coaches, we cannot simply make a team Champions. Winning teams have less to do with the raw talent and more to do with what's inside both the dressing room and an athlete. Together, they must find their own team identity and only then can they choose to do what's needed on and off the playing field to become the best version of themselves. Read More

    In our first tourney of the year the Bantam AE Sabres headed down to South Bend Indiana to play in the Irish Cup at the University of Notre Dame.

    Playing strong teams, the Sabres gained confidence on the ice and really got to know each other while hanging out off ice. Mid way through day two the Sabres flipped a switch to start playing the kind of hockey I know they are capable of. Wins and losses are sometimes predetermined by the talent, age or playing level of a team. With that said, when a group of young men decide to compete, trust one another and listen to advice, the game changes.
