House League Coach of the Year

This award is presented on an annual basis to a Lasalle Minor House League Coach who exemplifies the values, goals and philosophy of the LMHA. The LMHA House League Coach of the Year is a model on and off the ice, demonstrates patience, effectively communicates, and motivates and encourages players. This Coach demonstrates a balanced approach between skill building, competitive play and ensuring all players have fun during their season.

Travel Coach of the Year

This award is presented on an annual basis to a Lasalle Minor Travel Coach who exemplifies the values, goals and philosophy of the LMHA. The LMHA Travel Coach of the Year is a model on and off the ice, demonstrates patience, effectively communicates and demonstrates leadership to players and parents. This Coach demonstrates a balanced approach between playing competitively, ensuring players enjoy the season, and fostering a love for the game of hockey.

Trainer of the Year

This award goes to a volunteer who oversees the safety of LMHA players as they practice and play games. The Trainer of the Year is present at every ice time and is  prepared to prevent injuries and take the lead should an injury occur. This person is able to make informed decisions, often quickly, in order to ensure the safety of all players. This individual shows up to help their team where needed, be it on the ice, the bench, or in the dressing room.

House League Volunteer of the Year

This award recognizes the outstanding commitment and significant contributions of an individual to the game of House League Hockey during this season. The recipient may have demonstrated one or more of the following:

-made a notable impact on the game/players

-made a tireless commitment to improving the association

-fostered a good environment for players to develop hockey skills or positive character

-volunteered for a substantial amount of time

 

Travel Volunteer of the Year

This award recognizes the outstanding commitment and significant contributions of an individual to the game of Travel Hockey during this season. The recipient may have demonstrated one or more of the following:-made a notable impact on the game/players

-made a tireless commitment to improving the association

-fostered a good environment for players to develop hockey skills or positive character

-volunteered for a substantial amount of time 

 

Junior Volunteer of the Year

This award recognizes the outstanding commitment and significant contributions of an individual under the age of 18. The recipient may have demonstrated one or more of the following:

-made a notable impact on the game/players

-fostered a good environment for players to develop hockey skills or positive character

-assisted coaches and other volunteers on or off the ice

-demonstrated effective leadership skills 

 

House League Coaching Staff of the Year

This award is presented to a LaSalle Minor House League Coaching Staff who together and cohesively exemplify the values, goals and philosophy of the LMHA. The LMHA House League Coaching Staff of the Year are models on and off the ice and are a great illustration of what true team work is all about. 

Travel Coaching Staff of the Year

This award is presented to a LaSalle Minor Hockey Travel Coaching Staff who together and cohesively exemplify the values, goals and philosophy of the LMHA. The LMHA Travel Coaching Staff of the Year are models on and off the ice and are a great illustration of what true team work is all about. 

Betty Manias Award

This award is presented in honour of Betty Manias.  She was a tireless worker who gave her all for the LMHA.  This award is presented to a volunteer that exhibits exemplary service to the LMHA organization.

SPECIAL AWARDS- *Nominations for these awards are accepted from coaches of the nominated player.

Maiysn Spencer Memorial Trophy (Atom)

The Maiysn Spencer Memorial Trophy is awarded annually to a LaSalle Minor Hockey Association Player in the Atom Division who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey. 

Maiysn's memory lives on in those who exemplify the qualities that he so strongly showed. This award is given to a deserving player in his honour.

Zack Altenhoff Memorial Trophy (Midget)

The Zack Altenhoff Memorial Trophy is presented to the LaSalle Minor Hockey Player in the Midget Division who works the hardest in the face of adversity. This award is given to an individual who overcomes obstacles, stays focused and doesn't give up regardless of the circumstances. It is given in  honour of Zack Altenhoff to a player who represents the characteristics and values that Zack was praised for.

Brian Edwards Award (Bantam)

The Brian Edwards Award is presented to the Bantam player who exemplifies positive play and behaviour on the ice.
