Dear Families of LMHA:
On behalf of the Lasalle Minor Hockey Association, I wish to welcome you for another great season of hockey! For those of you that are new to hockey or to our organization, an exciting experience awaits you!
The mission of Hockey Canada and the Lasalle Minor Hockey Association is to lead, develop, and promote positive hockey experiences. The well being of its participants is of primary importance. This includes, among other things, a shared responsibility with parents and guardians to nurture the physical and emotional well being of its participants.
The success of the LMHA rests on and relies on the many volunteers who come forward to either coach, assist off-ice or participate and give back to their community by volunteering on the LMHA Board of Directors. I wish to thank the LMHA Board members for their tireless efforts and countless hours of work to get our season underway.
In addition, and I’m sure you will agree, supportive parents play a vital role in the success of not only their children, but the entire organization. The staff at the Vollmer centre, including reception, custodians, rink attendants, food services and others, also deserve recognition for the excellent service they provide for everyone! We are all part of the LMHA team!
I ask you all to take a few moments to view the slide presentation “Safe & Fun Hockey, A Parent’s Approach” attached to this message and to review the “Fair Play” code. It will certainly put in perspective what is most important and critical for a smooth transition into the new season. We wish you many successes both on and off the ice!
