U15B Win it all. Bluewater CHAMPIONS

On March 18, 2025, this LaSalle Sabres Group won the 2025 Bluewater League.  The championship guarantees them a spot in the final OMHA Red Hats tournament.  The squad went undefeated throughout the playoffs and swept the Talbot Trail Blazers in two hard fought games, 3-0 and 2-1.  This group of young men bonded early in the year, brought an open mind to learn new things.  The team was picked on 5 principles - SMART, TOUGH, FAST, DISCIPLINE with CHARACTER.  They were taught to play with High Energy, Max Effort and to Play Inspired Hockey.  When all of this comes together, you have confident ...

U15B Strikes Gold at the Irish Cup in South Bend

The LaSalle Sabres U15B travelled to South Bend Indiana for the Irish Cup.  It was another team bonding adventure and it brought friends and families together.  The Sabres enjoyed a 3-0-1 round robin series with teams from the U.S.A. and Canada.  All of the games were close and hard fought that not even the arrival of President Joe Biden and the first lady could throw them off of their game.  That's right, the Prez was at a wedding held at Notre Dame Stadium just as we arrived for our last game on Saturday night.   Championship Sunday saw our Sabres hang tough with a solid Ajax Raiders team ...

Woody's Hoodies Sweet Swag for U15B

The U15B squad set a goal at the beginning of the season, and the mission was accomplished.  Congratulations to the 2024/25 U15B team that captured the Bluewater League Title on March 18, 2025.  This fine group of young men battled a tough final match up against the Talbot Trail Blazers.  The team stayed true to the game plan and process and won game one 3-0 and won the final game 2-1 to sweep the series.  This team went undefeated through the playoffs which earned them a birth to the OMHA red hats tournament March 28-30 in Halton Hills.  The best is yet to come!
Thank you to all that supported our team.  Thank you coaches, players, parents, our fundraising guru Lisa, parent liaison Joette, manager Krysta/Corrine, Vollmer staff, LMHA Board, Refs and time keepers, the Vipers Staff, the skate sharpening guys, and the concession stand workers for supplying the funnel fries, poutine, and slushies.
