On Friday January 2nd, 2015 the LaSalle Sabres Bantam AE hosted the Slovakia Selects. The Sabres got off to a strong 3-0 lead after 2 periods, but the Selects worked hard in the 3rd period pulling within one goal with less than a minute to play. The Sabres hung on for a tight 4-3 victory.

The LaSalle Sabres Bantam AE had a tremendous season in Bluewater. They completed a perfect regular season last night with a 10-4 victory at home vs the 2nd place Tecumseh Eagles. Congratulations team on accomplishing one of your goals for this year.
The season if far from over, as the playdowns present another challenge for this group of hockey players.

The Bantam AE Sabres took part in the Kent Silverstick Tournament over the weekend of December 12th - 14th.
The Sabres placed 1st overall after the round robin, and played a strong game in defeating Kent 2-1 in the semi final game.
In the finals, down 2 players, they fought back from an early 2-0 lead to tie the score in the 3rd period and force overtime. Unfortunately, the comeback came up short, as the North London Nationals scored 3:30 into overtime to win the tournament.

The LaSalle Sabres Bantam AE team took part in the Tier 2 Nation's Cup on the weekend of November 28th - 30th in Taylor Michigan. Knowing that they were in for competitive games as they were playing AA teams, the Sabres played very hard all weekend. They did their part on the Championship day, defeating Royal Oak Eagles 8-2. This helped Canada take the Championship.

The LaSalle Sabres Bantam AE showed great determination and teamwork while capturing the Bradford Blue and Gold Tournament Championship on October 19th, 2014. The Sabres went 4 and 1 in the tournament and came from 2 goals down to beat the Newmarket Redmen 3-2 in the finals.
