The Sabres had a great weekend playing 4 games in 3 days and placed 2nd in the Motown Cup.  On Friday night, the Sabres faced off against Essex and came out on top with a 5-3 victory.  On Saturday morning, the Sabres battled to a 3-3 tie scoring with less than 30 seconds to play against Lakeland Hawks.  Playing in their 2nd game of the day, the Sabres put forward a great team effort and beat Grosse Isle by the score of 13-2.  This put the Sabres in the Championship game against a very good team from Lakeland.  Although the Sabres battled very hard and gave it everything they had, they came up ...

The Sabres had a great showing this weekend in the Belle River Tournament.  We started out strong with a solid win against Essex to open the tourney.  After 2 tough loses to both Stoney Creek and Windsor, the Sabres faced off against Belle River 1 - a team we've never beaten in the Quarter-Finals.  The Sabres prevailed with a gutsy effort and came out on top with a 5-4 win!  We then faced off against the #1 seed and eventual champs from Halton Hills in a semi-final contest.  Although we could not muster up a victory in the semi-final, all the kids showed a ton of grit, determination and never ...

Great work this weekend Sabres.  We came 2.5 seconds short of a win in Kingsville against a very tough Erie North Shore team and still came out with a tie.  Sunday's game vs. Essex was also a tight contest but the Sabres were victorious. Let's keep the momentum going this coming weekend when we travel and participate in the Belle River tournament.  Go Sabres!
