A huge congratulations to the U12 LaSalle Sabres on bringing home the Silver Medal at the OMHA Championships this past weekend in Whitby!
The Sabres went undefeated through the preliminary round, starting with a thrilling come-from-behind win against the defending OMHA champions from Welland. In the semifinals, they held strong against a relentless, top-5 ranked Whitby Wildcats team to earn their spot in the championship game.
In the final, the Sabres faced off against the #1 provincially ranked St. Thomas Jr. Stars. They battled with heart and determination, but ultimately came up short against a strong Jr. Stars squad.
From start to finish—this weekend and all season—every player on this U12A Sabres team played with passion, perseverance, and the heart of a champion. They believed in each other no matter the obstacle, and it showed in every game.
The coaching staff couldn’t be prouder of this amazing group of athletes. A special thank you to the incredible family and friends who cheered them on both in Whitby and online—your support was felt every step of the way.
