Michigan State Home Opener and More
This past weekend our Midget Minor group headed to East Lansing Michigan for the "Spartan Cup Tournament". Excited to enter our first tourney of the year, the team worked hard to prepare in the weeks building up to the event.
Facing off against players a year older than ours, our work was cut out for us. The team responded and played excellent team hockey throughout the weekend.
Understanding that we are a team whom believes that to become great, you must build a strong team culture. We decided to make the weekend about more that just our games. The Sabres attended the Michigan State Spartans Hockey teams home opener on Friday night and were treated to a great game at Mun Arena which the Spartans won.
On Saturday night the team went out for a team dinner at a Japanese steak house. There were lots of laughs and a few singed eye browns from the hibachi flames.

Back on the ice for the Semi finals on Sunday at the crack of 7:05AM the Sabres came up one shot short losing 3-2 against the eventual tournament champions. Congrats to Traverse City on a well earned victory.

Thank you to all whom were able to attend, we can't wait for our next team event.
