Novice AE Gold Gives Back
As parents we are of course proud when our son or daughter scores the big goal, makes a great pass or comes up with a huge save. However, I have yet to be as proud of my son and his team as I was last night. Last night, the Novice AE Gold team conducted a can drive to help support the LaSalle Food Bank. It was a huge success. A truck load of cans were delivered to the LaSalle Food Bank this morning.
The boys arrived at Coach Todd's house filled with energy and ready to go out and collect some canned goods for those in need. We had a quick team talk first explaining why we were collecting for the less fortunate. In addition, the team was informed that the stickers for Maisyn Spencer campaign that our team organized helped to gather donations from the entire Sabre community totalling in excess of $3,200. The entire Sabres family is to be congratulated for their generosity.
Winning games and scoring goals is great. However, spending the season with a collection of youngsters and parents whom care about others is truly making this a dream season.
