LaSalle’s Celina Seguin was one of two Ontario Minor Hockey Association recipients of the Wally Scott Bursary.
The scholarship, presented at the OMHA AGM in Toronto last week recognizes outstanding commitment to community service, athletics and academics.
Seguin is a certified OMHA referee, who played minor hockey with the Lasalle Minor Hockey Association from 2006-16 and with the Sun Parlour Hockey Association the past three seasons. She also plays soccer, hockey and basketball at Assumption College School along with competitive soccer with the LaSalle Stompers U18 2001 Girls.
Seguin is headed to the University of Ottawa in the fall with an eye on earning a law degree and earned $1,250 towards her education with the scholarship.
