NEW HOCKEY CANADA SKILLS ACADEMY IN LASALLE
Kevin Hamlin, coach of the University of Windsor Lancers and coordinator of the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board’s Hockey Canada Skills Academies, will be offering an information session for all Travel and House League coaches in the Lasalle Minor Hockey Association.

The presentation will focus on skill development and opportunities created through the partnership with the WECDSB and Hockey Canada. This new and exciting opportunity will commence in September 2018 at St. Thomas of Villanova and Holy Cross Elementary school. This has the potential of making a significant impact on the skill development of our players and coaches of LaSalle Minor Hockey.

Kevin is a two-time Ontario University Coach of the Year and is widely respectedas one of Canada’s finest coaches. He is available following this presentation for any questions pertaining to our sport.

The Hockey Canada Skills Academy Program is a national initiative that evolved from the 1999 Molson Open Ice Summit on player development. Collaboration between Hockey Canada, its 13 member branches, local minor hockey associations, local schools, and municipal school boards has allowed the Hockey Canada Skills Academy Program to grow into a second mainstream player development program mirroring the minor hockey club team system in Canada.
