MEET THE U12A COACH - SCOTT ARSENEAULT
My name is Scott Arseneault and I'll be the coach of the LaSalle Sabres U12A team for the 25/26 season.I've been coaching youth hockey in various capacities for many years - and have been involved with the LMHA 2014 rep program for the past two seasons (2023/24 - Assistant Coach & 2024/25 Head Coach).

Our team philosophy will focus on speed, endurance, and a total commitment to playing hockey 'the right way' - unselfish, disciplined, and relentless - these will be the hallmarks of our game.

I was honoured to be named LaSalle's Travel Coach of the Year this past season and although I believe there were others who were more deserving, I'm extremely proud - not only of the award but also to count many of these other coaches as my own mentors - who continue to help me evolve in my role as a coach.

I also grew up playing in the LaSalle Minor program, for some of the best coaches in the area. Not every season was successful, but I learned something from each of them.

I've experienced the disappointment of a 50-loss season and the ultimate feeling of winning the International Silver Stick, OMHA, and OHF Championships. I wear the highs and lows of these experiences with pride - and am thrilled to have the opportunity to share what I've learned with a new generation of Sabres.

I strive to never forget what it was like to be a young player - and I believe it has served me well in my time as a coach. One of the most important things I can share is that I still play hockey with friends I’ve skated with for over forty years - going back to our earliest days in minor hockey – these bonds are what make the game so special - and they are a major part of my coaching philosophy.

I'm excited and enthusiastic about the upcoming season - I expect to see each player make significant improvements as individuals and as team players – both mentally and physically. The intention is that these developments will also crossover into their lives away from the rink. Our success will be measured by these improvements.

With sound coaching, endless support, and continued dedication we hope to see a group of bright, well-rounded and respectful young players, who are better prepared for the future, both on and off the ice.

GO SABRES!!!
