RESULTS: PROPOSED MERGER WITH WMHA
Dear members of the LMHA:
Voting for the proposed merger with Windsor Minor Hockey Association is now closed.
Although the motion passed (53.07% in favour to 46.93% opposed with 2 abstentions) it did not meet the required threshold of 2/3 majority vote in order to move forward. Our counterparts in Windsor achieved the same percentages.
Thank you to all who participated in the information sessions and the voting process.
We wish to thank Windsor MHA for their honesty, integrity and the many long dedicated hours put into this initiative and wish them well for the upcoming season.
The LMHA will now move forward status quo to prepare for the 2024-2025 season.
