On December 3rd, 2022 All members of our hockey
team took part in a day of giving through a team organized ‘
LMHA U11BB Helps
The Hungry’ Food Drive in LaSalle, Ontario. All players proudly wore their Lasalle
Sabres Jerseys and took to the streets for two hours on a cold December day,
pulling their wagons and hockey bags collecting canned goods and non-perishable food items.
We were amazed at the support of our Lasalle residents as the cans
continued to pour in.
Following the door-to-door event, the team then dropped off
the collected items at the Lasalle Foodbank where they learned how they've helped the hungry and the importance of contributing
to our community.
We are so proud of our Team for taking part in this special
event! Thank you to all players, coaches, parents and family members who
participated and to ALL who contributed.
A very special Thank You to Deanne Gigliotti who not only
came up with this idea for our team, but hosted us all for lunch and snacks prior to the collection.
