Welcome back to another season of hockey here in LaSalle!
The LMHA Board of Directors wishes to thank all of you for persevering through the last two complicated years of hockey. Our board of volunteers has worked very hard and diligently to help get hockey back on track after the challenges of the pandemic. To be transparent, supply chain issues continue to be a challenge in preparing for the season. While nothing is certain, we hope we are back to “normal” hockey.
The main focus of this message to make all members of the LMHA aware of the new rules and policies of the OMHA. On-Ice (Referees) officials have already received training at their re-certification clinic and new officials will receive training this coming weekend. All of LMHA coaching staffs and those in other Bluewater associations will be attending a session in the next week for the same purpose.
Below is a link to an important new section and excerpt from the 2022-2024 Referee Rule Book entitled: MALTREATMENT. Please have a read through and be aware of the new rules that will be in force beginning this season. Hopefully we will continue to have positive experiences so that our young people can enjoy and have fun playing our great game! See you at the rink!
