UPDATE: RE: OCTOBER 1ST VACCINE REQUIREMENT MESSAGE FROM WINDSOR-ESSEX COUNTY HEALTH UNIT
Dear LMHA members:
Once again we are charged with a new directive regarding the status of LMHA participants and spectators. Last week, 12-18 year old participants had until the OMHA October 31st deadline to provide proof of full vaccination.
However, the WECHU will be requiring all participants (players, coaches, volunteers, officials etc.) and spectators to be fully vaccinated to enter any recreational centre in the jurisdiction of the WECHU, effective October 1st, 2021.Please view the WEHCU Letter of Instruction, available here. Note that this is not a Town of LaSalle, OMHA or LMHA policy and affects all facilities across Essex County. Members who have begun the process of full vaccination but are not fully vaccinated by October 1st will have to pause their participation until such time that they are fully vaccinated and have waited the required 14-day period thereafter.
In the meantime, participants who wish to continue participating are still required under OMHA policy to submit proof of the full vaccination status to our registration director.
