Dear members of the LMHA:

Below you will find important updates and answers to your many questions of late. Below is what we know as of today. As an association, it is our sincere wish that everyone take the opportunity to stay safe, healthy and be prepared to resume operations, however that may look, as soon as it is deemed feasible. We will continue to provide updates via our media formats including direct e-mails to your registered e-mail address.

-- LMHA Board of Directors

LMHA ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Due to the Hockey Canada/OMHA suspension of all hockey activities, gatherings and meetings, the LMHA Annual General Meeting (AGM) is now cancelled for March 25, 2020 and will be rescheduled at a later date.

REGISTRATION 2020/2021 SEASON

In years past, LMHA registration has begun online shortly following the AGM. Due to the cancellation of the season, postponing of our AGM and the COVID-19 restrictions, online registration will begin shortly after we are permitted to the holding of the AGM. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. You will be notified by email regarding the opening of registration.

HOUSE LEAGUE SEASON/DAY OF CHAMPIONS/SEASON AWARDS

As per the Hockey Canada, OHF and OMHA direction and the closure of the Vollmer Recreational Centre, the rest of the house league season is now unfortunately cancelled. We thank everyone for their participation and the tremendous season we had. Regarding end of season awards, we plan to hold a special evening at the Vollmer to make the presentations. We take this opportunity to thank all of our volunteers, coaches and others, for offering their time and expertise making this a great season once again.

TRAVEL HOCKEY/TRYOUTS

The OHF announcement that travel tryouts will not take place in the Spring has been posted on our website. We will await further direction from the OHF regarding approval to begin the tryouts. Due to outstanding coaching and the enthusiastic participation of the players and parents, the 2019-2020 season was a very successful one for the LMHA travel program. Congratulations to all!

VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION DINNER

The Volunteer Appreciation Dinner that was to be held on April 17, 2020 at Ambassador Golf Club is now postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date.

ROGERS HOMETOWN HOCKEY

Thanks to all of the volunteers who helped to make a significant contribution to the Lasalle Rogers Hometown Hockey event! The people at Rogers estimated that 20,000 people attended the event. As one official stated “this is our 20th stop this season and one could easily make the case that this one was the best this season”. Our compliments to all and thanks to the Town of Lasalle staff and the many LMHA volunteers who helped to make it such a huge success!
