In the final tournament of the season, the Sabres travelled up the 401 to the 63rd annual Preston Invitational. Knowing full well that we'd need to be at our best to complete in this excellent field the boys were ready for the challenge.
Facing 4 strong teams was certainly a great opportunity and the boys didn't waste it going an impressive 2-2 on the weekend and proving to themselves that they can compete with the best AA teams in the province.
Among the weekend highlights was a game played at Galt arena. It's the oldest active arena in the world. Beautiful place to play a game.
The team had a great night at Bingemans in Kitchener and tons of fun off the ice in the hotel.
We essentially came up one goal short of reaching the semis but gained a ton of experience and momentum heading back to blue water.
The coaching staff was very proud of the boys on and off the ice. Can't wait to get back out there and compete.
Coach Todd.
