Halton Hills Best of the Best 2019
The Bantam Major team spent a fun-filled Thanksgiving weekend with their hockey family at the Best of the Best Halton Hills Tournament. With a fourth place finish overall, this team continues to demonstrate that they are fierce competitors and a force to be reckoned with. The Sabres started off strong on Friday winning two games, including a 4-1 victory against the Caledon Hawks, who ended up winning the tournament, and 2-0 victory against the Junior Cougars. On Saturday, the Sabres pulled off a 1-0 win against the Hamilton Huskies, which earned them a spot in the semi-finals on Sunday.
The Sabres came up short on Sunday with a loss to Centre Wellington Fusion and a 5-3 loss to Cumberland Junior Grads with an empty net goal. With a team BBQ on Friday and Thanksgiving Dinner on Saturday in the hotel parking lot, parking lot football game, corn hole competition and lots of laughs and good times, the pictures say it all…. we are a team both on the ice and off the ice. Although winning isn’t everything, wanting to win is. This team is hungry to win and will continue to be unstoppable together.
