Recently, members of the LaSalle Midget Minor AA hockey team
had the opportunity to spend an evening visiting with the residents of The Village
of Aspen Lake. The midget minor team is made up of fifteen year old boys, who
took time prior to their practice, to visit, mingle and have some fun playing a
little hockey with some of the residences.
The boys came with team photos in hand which they had signed and handed them out to the approximately twenty residences that participated in the visit. There was time for one on one visits, as well as a little floor hockey shoot out. A hockey net was set up and the boys took turn net minding, while the shots were taken. The shooters were cheered on, especially by the teammates of the goal keeper, and a few goals were scored! Great fun was had by all!
Everyone shared stories and of course there was a lot of talk about hockey. The visit ended with a group photo of with the team members, coaches and residences. The team hopes that they will be able to make another visit to the home in the future.
