The coaches have never been more proud of this U11 Red Hawks team as after this weekend!
The weekend started on Friday at 1pm with a hard fought come from behind trailing 3-0 to make it a 3-3 tie in the last minute game against Mount Brydges. The second game was a nailbiter against Port Stanley in which these comeback kids trailing 2-0 after the first period and 3-2 after the second, came back to win 5-4. Then day 2 and game 3 started and the kids knew they had to score first and score first and storm out they did winning and solidifying themselves a round in the semi finals with a 10-5 win against the Barrie Lightning.
The hype was real going into the semis and off the start our team went into the 3rd period tied 1-1 in which the goalies completely stole the show, ultimately Mount Brydges jumped out 3-1 to start the period and the comeback which started with 2 minutes left fell short and the weekend came to a close with a 3-2 loss. These kids are stoked and now believe in themselves and can't wait to see what future tournaments and the rest of the season hold.
